Extension and major living area refurbishment
Our customer wanted to significantly open up their living space to their previously small, compartmental home without compromising their existing energy costs.
We built a ground-floor extension out the back of the home. This extension adjoined from the home to the existing garage and outbuilding. This was a cost-effective approach to minimising building material whilst maintaining a tasteful, flush finish when looking at the house from the back garden. This also created a further, stone courtyard area to the left of the home for more intimate socialising.
The extension comprises of an exposed wooden beam ceiling, super-efficient roof insulation and
two sets of large sliding doors that are inset into the ground, so you can step straight outdoors. Perfect for bringing the outside in.
Back in the original home, along with a new utlity area and downstairs loo, we completed an entire kitchen renovation with custom built cabinetry, Velux windows and an impressive feature out of an historic water well discovered during previous building works with reinforced glass and lighting.
